The problem

Clean rainwater and clean mains water training exercises arriving on the catchment need to be directed to an onsite storage tank for treatment and re-use

Waste water discharging from the collection pad during foam exercises needs to be directed to an onsite waste water retention and treatment plant.

The Application

The Solution

Installation of a Model No. FE/LH/CMS600/PM Constant Monitoring System

The system includes a proprietary control panel and hydraulically (water) driven waste water/stormwater diversion system

The System Function

During the foam exercises the diversion valves are manually activated to direct the polluted discharge to trade waste.

Outside foam training exercises the diversion valves are reinstated to auto mode with clean rainfall discharging to the storage reservoir.

The proprietary water quality sensing system remains active 24/7.

In the event that concentrated foam residue arrives in the diversion valve pit the sensing system activates directing the polluted water away from the stormwater catchment and to the waste water treatment plant, it also signals an audible and visible alarm and communicates the spill to the site BMS.

Diversion to trade waste remains active until the spill has passed through the pit, it then auto resets to stormwater mode, or is reset when the spill has been cleaned up and the system is manually reset.
